Over the past 2 years, the Dog Control Authority has not been able to serve the community. Most calls to Dog Control go unheeded because of a lack of transportation to pick up dogs. The Unit should meet its statutory legal duties under the Dog Control Act, and its moral duties in playing a key role in working with voluntary organisations and individuals in addressing stray dog and animal cruelty in Antigua.
