GAIL is forcefully acquiring our land in North Kerala without any decent compensation package. Innocent villagers who protest against this inhuman government act are man handled by local police. GAIL is offering 10% of market value for the 20 meter land area they acquire and land owners cannot construct building or plant big trees on this area. The sad part is that in most of the cases the pipe line is passing through the centre (middle) of the land hence making their entire land unusable for many. GAIL require 10 metre on both sides of the pipe line as their work / maintenance area. 

Government has been paying huge amount , at times two times the market value , for acquiring land for highway development. In GAIL pipene project none of these villagers are getting even any indirect benifit like land acquisition for highways. 

I request all our fellow citizens to take up this issue with our honourable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modiji & honourable Chief Minister of Kerala Sri Pinarayi Vijayan to stop this forceful land acquisition without any decent compensation.
