THE PCPNDT ACT ( SONOGRAPHY LAW) As it stands today puts the doctor's in jail for clerical errors. The true culprits circumvent the system. And the innocent doctors are victimized. The system is supervised by NGO and not Doctors. The high handedness of the NGO's further alienate the doctors. Many doctors have stopped doing sonography of pregnant ladies. SUGGESTION: 1) Let the FORM be only online mode. With only completed forms uploadable. Printable for documentation and signature. NO LEGAL basis for manual form and hence no harassment from same. 2) Let the process of supervision be headed by a medical person. 3) Doctor should not be held guilty till proved so.
