I Object To Divisive Brexit Celebrations

I Object To Divisive Brexit Celebrations

The Issue

On the 31st of January the UK leaves the EU — a matter for regret not divisive celebrations.

Brexit is the most divisive issue of modern times in the UK. Those of us who argued and worked to remain did so sincerely in the interests of our country and subsequent generations who we believe should be influential at the heart of Europe.

The Prime Minister and the government should be working now to bring the country together, not rubbing our noses in it by celebrating in expensive, jingoistic and divisive fashion.

(UK citizens cannot at this time make an official petition to parliament because there is not yet a Petitions Committee! Hence this simple ‘petition’)
