Just wanted to gather residents of Troy opinions on puppy mills, do you support them or are you against them?

If you're against them, there's a bill just passed in Detroit banning the sale of (dogs, cats, rabbits) in pet stores. This is a preventative approach to puppy mills as they almost always sell to pet shops. This would not stop backyard/hobby breeders from selling. Also, if pet shops wanted to help the community they could hold adoption events through a 501(3)c shelter/rescue.

I wanted to see what my fellow residents think of the bill coming to Troy. There's other surrounding cities that have passed this like Berkley, Lathrup village, and Ferndale.
