Neilston Learning Campus have communicated to families the withdrawal of funding for the breakfast cart within our school campus from August 2024.

With 24% of children in Scotland living in poverty (source: Scottish Government), this cart is crucial to ensuring that all students have an equal opportunity to start their day with some food. The benefits of breakfast include increased levels of concentration, increased energy levels and support the in long term health issues such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

Removing this funding would prevent many children from attending school with food in their belly, impacting their ability to learn and thrive. Please sign this petition to urge the education department to continue supporting our children's health and education by maintaining the breakfast cart funding.
