Again very many thanks to all supporters from the 130 hard pressed families that rely on residential respite at Girtrell. Please help with 2 time critical issues :- 1. The council will be given a verbal report on this petition on Monday the 14th. It is important that we boost numbers of Wirral supporters as much as possible over this weekend so please use all of your local email and social media contacts to spread the word so that we can have maximum impact; 2. The council are trying to avoid public and democratic scrutiny of their decision on the future of respite and Girtrell by delegating the decision to one councillor and one official. This will allow all other councillor to distance themselves from any unfavourable outcome and effectively wash their hands of it. This is unacceptable - such a potentially life changing decision needs to be made by full council, democratically in public view so that the public knows which way ITS elected representatives voted so we can hold them to account. Please use the email addresses of your local ward councillors as shown below to protest this hidden decision and to demand that it goes to full public council vote.
