Point #4 of Petition Resolved

The following point of our petition has been resolved:

"Installing lighting in spaces with no or dim lighting, especially alleyways, which the surveyed public describes as unsafe spaces."

Two especially dark alleyways between 28 Dunlop St. E. and 34 Dunlop St, E., and 50 Dunlop St. E. and 46 Dunlop St E were identified during the women's safety audit walk which took place in late 2020. As a result, the building owners surrounding these alleys have both purchased string lights and eagerly agreed to pay for the electricity to run them. They are expected to be installed within the week for added safety as well as improved ambience. Once installed, I have a feeling that more building owners will follow suit.
