As a resident of Clanfield and a grandparent concerned about the future of our children, I urge all fellow residents to join me in opposing the proposed building developments. Due to its location, the development poses a risk to our local schoolchildren. Most particularly, my own grandchildren who may potentially use the same route to school.One road in and out of a housing development that potentially has 200 new dwellings on a road that is already very very busy will unfortunately create a serious problem.

The danger lies in the increased road traffic that the new developments will inevitably bring about. This is a situation happening all too often - in U.K. schools alone, a 2019 report by the Department for Transport revealed 54 percent of accidents occurred during the school run hours.

Additionally, we should also consider the environmental impact of losing more natural spaces within our community, denying our children precious green space to enjoy and learn from.

 
The impact of flooding in Clanfield village is already a large problem this will only contribute to more flooding and make the village unsafe.
