Prevent the Redefinition of the Endangered Species Act

Prevent the Redefinition of the Endangered Species Act
The Issue
I am deeply passionate about the wellbeing of all animals. The thought of losing any endangered species creates a deep void in my heart. Moreover, altering the sanctity of protected habitats could push numerous species closer to extinction, a fate that is irreversible. It saddens me to see animals I care so much about suffer due to changes proposed to the Endangered Species Act by President Trump and with his Executive Order that was signed on March 20, 2025 to allow timber cutting and mineral mining on protected lands.
In particular, the proposed changes could allow for the commercial use of lands that are currently protected under this crucial law. Not only could this lead to habitat destruction, but also threaten the survival of countless species that depend on these lands to sustain their population. According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature, around 25,000 species are currently facing the threat of extinction. Should these changes go through, that number could increase dramatically.
For this reason, we must act now. We stand with the Endangered Species Act as it is, to preserve the habitats and biodiversity that are under threat. Together, we can save these treasured species and make a stand against changes that fail our environment and its inhabitants. Please sign this petition to show your support in preventing the redefinition of the Endangered Species Act. Your signature matters greatly to wildlife, to our planet, and to me personally. You can be part of the solution.
