As a deeply concerned resident of Aliquippa, PA, I am writing this petition with an urgent plea to stop the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) from moving our beloved Aliquippa Quips football team to class 5A. Currently, our team competes in class 4A which is already unsuitable for the safety of the players.

The proposed move by the PIAA not only threatens the competitive balance but also puts at risk the safety of our young athletes. The children on this team are not just players; they are part of our community and their well-being is paramount. Moving them up another class will pit them against larger schools with potentially bigger and more experienced players, increasing chances for injuries.

We cannot ignore these statistics when it comes to safeguarding our children's health.
