PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO SIGN THIS.  I slacked off on it for a while to take care of other things but things are getting worse.  I am going to give you a link of just a very few photos and I have hundreds of videos and pictures, it is criminal.  Please take a moment and sign, it is only a minute out of your life and it is very important.  You will see 5 horses running down the middle of the main road on a very foggy morning where a children’s bus passed by soon after.

I live by a horse farm and in just a little over 2 years, their horses have been loose on the road close to 50 times where vehicles are speeding, sometimes up to 80 mph.  If someone hits a horse at that speed I can only imagine that the people driving the vehicle and the horse are both going to be killed. Other horses have been loose on the property with the ability to go down to the main road approximately an additional 27 times. And this is only what I have seen when I am home so I would feel comfortable saying that those numbers should be doubled.  

I have spoken with the police, state troopers, sheriff and the chief investigator of this county and was told there is nothing they can do about it.  The state troopers won’t even take the time to even drive out here anymore, they just call the owner and tell them to go get their horse. There needs to be an ordinance of “Livestock Running at Large”. Luckily so far no one has been injured but should everyone just sit back and wait until an innocent animal or human loses their life because of the incompetence and negligence of the owners?  Do we wait until someone’s child goes through the windshield because they have to slam on their brakes to avoid the horse, or swerve and hit a tree, or an entire family killed while just wanting to take a drive in the country?

Please help me with taking a stand against horse boarding facilities/riding stables that just look at the horses as “income” and do not care about the welfare of the horses and/or the human lives that can be impacted by their carelessness. Please sign this petition in the hopes that New York will implement a “Livestock Running at Large” in all areas and not just on Interstates and Highways but ALL roads that vehicles travel on so that no animal/human lives are needlessly taken.
