Prevent the Installation of a Cell Tower on Eureka School Grounds

Prevent the Installation of a Cell Tower on Eureka School Grounds
The Issue
Our children are the future of Eureka, MT and it is our job to guarantee a safe and healthy environment for their growth and development. There's a proposal to install a cell tower within the school premises which leads to our concern. According to the American Cancer Society, while most studies don't establish a direct link between living near cell towers and developing health issues, there are some which suggest increased risks for certain types of cancer among people living closer to these structures. We are not ready to take this risk with our children's health, or the health of the locals who reside in the surrounding area. Repositioning the cell tower to a safer distance from educational spaces will ensure our children are in low-risk environments. Stand with us to protect our children's health and their future. Please, sign the petition.
Here are some excerpts from the below listed links:
“Therefore, a lack of epidemiological evidence does not necessarily indicate an absence of effect, but rather an inability to study an exposure for the length of time necessary, with an adequate sample size and unexposed comparators, to draw clear conclusions.”
“The range and magnitude of potential impacts of 5G technologies are under-researched, although important biological outcomes have been reported with millimeter wavelength exposure. These include oxidative stress and altered gene expression, effects on skin and systemic effects such as on immune function”

If you would like, there is also a community discussion school board meeting scheduled for July 29th at 6pm in the LCHS media center to discuss the matter. The actual meeting and vote for whether to begin building will be held at the August 12th at 6pm in the High school library.
