El problema

I have been living with dogs all my life. Every day I see their love, their loyalty, and the joy they bring to our lives. I've dedicated my career to dogs, working at a doggy day care and soon establishing my own rescue centre for these beautiful creatures. Struck by their unconditional love, the news about host country for the 2030 World Cup, Morocco, brutally killing stray dogs greatly distresses me.

Morocco is known for its stray dog population. As it prepares to host the 2030 World Cup, instead of addressing the problem effectively, authorities are resorting to cruel measures that involve killing these innocent beings. This is a deeply inhumane, short-sighted strategy that should not be supported or ignored.

Homeless dogs are not just Morocco's problem; they are the entire world's problem. They deserve compassion and humane handling. The World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) suggests programs such as Animal Birth Control (ABC) and anti-rabies vaccinations are a far more humane and efficient way of managing stray populations.

The cruel killings in Morocco as a response to the stray dog population are not just inhumane but also tremendously ineffective. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), implementing systematic vaccination programs and sterilization leads to a more significant reduction in the population of stray dogs.

Therefore, we call on the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to intervene urgently. By applying pressure, we can encourage Morocco to adopt more humane ways of controlling the stray dog population ahead of the 2030 World Cup. Let's use our voices to end this cruelty and promote compassionate change. Please sign this petition and help us fight for the rights of stray dogs in Morocco. Hopefully we can change who host Morocco do not deserve the opportunity
