Prevent the Eviction of Sunlight Sober Living Residents

Prevent the Eviction of Sunlight Sober Living Residents

The Issue

I was a proud resident of Sunlight Sober Living in Little Rock, AR, USA. This place has given me and many others the sincerest opportunity to grow into respectable members of society. We have been able to transform our lives for the better through a carefully mandated program that promotes accountability and step work among many other things.

Sunlight Sober Living is not just a housing facility; it's our home where we continue to better ourselves while maintaining abstinence from substance abuse. However, we are now facing eviction which threatens our progress and stability.

According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), stable housing significantly improves recovery outcomes for individuals with substance use disorders. Yet, despite this evidence, we find ourselves at risk of losing our home.

We urge local authorities in Little Rock to recognize the importance of sober living homes like ours in combating substance abuse and promoting societal reintegration. We request them to take immediate action that allows residents of Sunlight Sober Living to remain housed so we can continue on our path towards recovery.

Please sign this petition if you believe in second chances and support our fight for stable housing as an essential part of recovery from substance abuse.
