Prevent the Dismantling of 1000 Trees at Pandavakada Kharghar

The Issue

The organization we represent, "Vishwatmake Deve Sadhak Mandali Seva Sanstha", has passionately dedicated its efforts towards the cultivation and nurturance of about 1000 trees in Pandavakada Kharghar. For the past seven years, using our own pocket money, we have meticulously maintained these trees throughout all seasons. Our preservation has been a labor of love, intended to instill green life into our region and consequently, provide an invaluable source of oxygen for our residents.

However, our labor of love faces a potent threat. The proposed Kharghar Turbhe Link Road is slated to cut through the very heart of this green stretch we've cultivated so earnestly. It has been scientifically proven that trees of this density can absorb up to 48 pounds of CO2 per year. Over the course of seven years, our thousand trees have potentially absorbed about 336,000 pounds of destructive CO2 emissions. We want the authorities to appreciate this instead of overseeing the space as mere land ready for infrastructural development.

The loss of these trees amounts to shattering an ecosystem, reducing air quality and escalating global warming. Our appeal is that the project must reconsider its plans, find an alternative route, or establish suitable and practical tree transplantation measures. This isn't just about protecting trees; it's about protecting the climate, the coming generations, and the balance of nature.

End this nerve-wracking predicament for us, allow us to continue our labor of love. Stand with the Vishwatmake Deve Sadhak Mandali Seva Sanstha, stand for a greener world. Please, lend your voice to our cause, sign the petition and prevent the loss of these 1000 trees.
