My son, a freshman at Cherry Hill West High School, had been eagerly awaiting his chance to play on the school's golf team. In middle school, only traditional sports were offered and he was looking forward to exploring his potential in golf. After trying out and making the team, he discovered a newfound passion for both the sport and his studies. He even started considering playing golf at college level.

However, our joy was short-lived as we learned that due to budget constraints, there is a possibility of cutting off the golf team from Cherry Hill West High School. This decision will not only shatter my son's dreams but also those of many other students who have found their calling in this sport.

Golf is more than just a game; it teaches important life skills such as patience, strategy, and focus. Moreover, according to National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), around 7% of high school athletes get an opportunity to play at college level which can open doors for scholarships and future career opportunities.

We urge you not just as parents or students but as members of this community who value education and holistic development of our children - let's save Cherry Hill West Golf Team from being cut off due to budget constraints!
