I am a resident of Woodberry/beresfield NSW, Australia and both my children have attended the Samaritans Anglican Early Learning Centre. This institution plays a critical role in our community, and its looming closure threatens our families' access to quality education and childcare. My youngest child still has a few more years before reaching kindy age and it is vital that she should continue to benefit from the nurturing environment at the centre.

The Samaritans Anglican Early Learning Centre is more than just a school. It is a haven where children foster their love for learning under the guidance of dedicated educators. Furthermore, early learning is essential in shaping young minds. According to the Department of Education and Training in Australia, good quality early childhood education and care can foster children's development and learning and cascade into future success at school and better performance in the workforce (Department of Education and Training, Australian Government, 2019).

Now, more than ever, we must ensure that our children can carry on their educational journey uninterrupted. We cannot allow the proposed closure of the centre to jeopardise the future of our children and stifle the vibrant community spirit in Woodberry.
