Prevent the Closure of Our Vital Local Animal Rescue Shelter

Prevent the Closure of Our Vital Local Animal Rescue Shelter
The Issue
Our local animal rescue Monticello 2nd Chance Fur Dogs shelter in Drew County, AR is facing closure. To many of us, myself included, this is more than just a place - it's a beacon of hope for the numerous dogs that desperately need our help.
In a world where 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year (according to the ASPCA), the role our local shelter plays is incredibly important. The shelter provides not only vital support to these innocent lives, but also a sense of purpose and community for people like me who have dedicated their lives to supporting these animals.
The harsh reality is that without our shelter, the survival of the dogs in our area is seriously threatened. Every effort should be made to preserve such an essential organization in our area.
This isn't just about a building. It's about a community of committed volunteers, the impact on our local animals, and preserving a vital service in Drew County. In a country where an animal is euthanized every 13 seconds (as per The Humane Society of the United States), closing our shelter will only contribute to this heart-wrenching statistic.
I implore you and all those in Drew County to come together and ensure this does not happen. Let your voice be heard. Save our rescue shelter, save our dogs!
Please sign this petition and join me in taking a stand to prevent the closure of our beloved animal rescue shelter.
