As members of the Whitley Bay community, we come together in the face of an alarming issue - the potential closure of Monkseaton High School. This high school holds tremendous significance for our community. Not only is it one of only two 3-tier high schools in our region, but its importance multiplies in light of the government's plan to build over 16,500 homes by 2032.
