All parents/guardians and community are deeply alarmed about the proposed closure of Binsteed Childcare Centre.

Established over 30 years ago, Binsteed Childcare Services provides quality childcare for children aged 0-12 years old within our community. Over the years, it has had a profound impact on countless families. Generation after generation, past students now bring their own children to this community hub. Unfortunately, this legacy and the Centre's essential services are now endangered by Portsmouth City Council's recent eviction notice.

With minimal explanation, council has issued a six-month eviction notice, leaving numerous families and dedicated staff members in a state of uncertainty and distress. The decision will gravely affect the continuity of education and support for our young ones who heavily rely on this establishment.

We cannot stress enough the potential harm of disrupting their early childhood education. Studies have consistently underscored the importance of early education on children's intellectual, emotional and social development. Disrupting this critical stage can have long-term effects on their learning and well-being.

In conclusion, the suggested eviction is not just an administrative action. It is a measure that threatens our community's well-being, depriving our children of a secure and enriching environment for their development.

As some parents are already afraid of not having the help on breakfast clubs and after school pick ups / holiday clubs they are starting to consider leaving them jobs which will impact massively each family/community!

This petition calls for immediate reconsideration and reversal of the decision. For the sake of our children's future and the legacy of our community, we urge you to stand with us and prevent the closure of Binsteed Childcare Centre. Please sign this petition to make your voice heard.
