Petition Update – In Honour of the Shoreham 11

 

 

 

Dear friends,

 

Thank you so much for signing and supporting this petition.

 

Your voices — nearly 3,000 strong — helped bring national attention to the urgent need for change following the Shoreham Airshow disaster that took 11 lives far too soon.

 

This petition called for the permanent suspension of pilot Andrew Hill’s flying license, in the hope that no other families would have to endure a similar loss.

 

💬 Here’s what has happened since:

 

As of May 2025, Andrew Hill’s final legal appeal was dismissed, and his pilot’s license will not be reinstated.
The CAA continues to uphold stricter safety regulations for airshows and pilot oversight.
The campaign — supported by so many of you — added weight to the voices of grieving families and helped reinforce the call for accountability and reform.

 

 

This was never just about one decision. It was about responsibility, remembrance, and protecting future lives.
