The Issue

As a therian living in Texas, I am deeply disturbed by Oklahoma's recent decision to exclude therians and furries from attending school. It is crucial to understand that being a therian is not a choice but an integral part of our identity. We should be free to express ourselves without fear of discrimination.

Therians are individuals who identify with animals, whether they are real or mythical, in a non-physical way. This identification can be spiritual or psychological. Despite being a harmless form of self-expression, therians face widespread misunderstanding and prejudice

furries are people who have an interest in anthropomorphic animals and express it through art, cosplay, and other means. (sorry I dont know much about furries comment if you would like me to add)

Oklahoma's proposed ban is an alarming example of discrimination against these groups. Education is a fundamental right for all children, and denying access based on personal expression contradicts the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNICEF).

This petition aims to prevent such discriminatory practices from taking root in our society. Let us come together to promote inclusivity and respect for all forms of self-expression. We urge Oklahoma lawmakers to not only reconsider but also to abolish any plans that infringe upon the rights of therians and furries.

Please sign this petition today and let us stand united against discrimination based on personal identity
