Manchester Metropolitan University holds a lease for the park which permits use of the land solely as public open space.  The lease does not contain any specific requirements or conditions regarding the park’s opening hours.

THIS IS OF MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL

Its clear by the 26years that passed from 1994 to 2020 that there was an informal arrangement for the park to be open and closed the same as other public parks like whitworth park and was common practice for so long

So its seems that MMU were doing a LONG CON on the community and the council and as they refuse to give information about what happened in 2020 via freedom of information request it may have been not quite lawful..

So our city council are not supportive of local communities by allowing social exclusion and discrimination by one of their partners and the council is toothless in ineffective.
