500 signatures, this is the response from the city council

All Saints Park is owned by the Council and has been leased out to the Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) for a term of 99 years from 18th October 1993. The lease says MMU is to use the land as Public Open Space and for no other purpose. The land is maintained by MMU and should be made available for public recreation. It is closed and locked overnight to deter anti-social behaviour.

We will raise your concerns directly with MMU and remind them of the user clause contained within the Lease and remind them of the requirement to keep the land available as public open space as defined in the lease.

It seems the council need reminding to remind MMU about the user clause

so please contact Bev Craig to ask why mmu are allowed to exclude the public out of term
