It is a home for business travelers who come with their families for a well-deserved vacation while they work, and a place of rest for traveling nurses who put their lives on the line in area hospitals. With winter, it becomes a haven for snowbirds seeking the warmth and vibrancy of our community.

Introducing low-income Housing Authority projects, such as Project-Based Housing with Choice Voucher Programs including Section 8 Housing, could significantly alter the nature of our community. We fear that with this comes a new set of complex challenges, including crime, that could disrupt our peaceful haven.

While we affirm the need for low-income housing, we believe there are alternative places to locate these communities which will better accommodate the needs and support structures required by residents of these programs. Let our resort remain as a testament to the hard work and dedication of homeowners who sought a serene and secure place to relax and rejuvenate.
