Prevent For-Profit Baseball Organizations from Dominating Community Fields

The Issue

I am writing as the Vice President of a local non-profit baseball program in the Denver Metro Area. Our program and many others around us, are on the brink of collapse due to the rise of for-profit baseball organizations over the past few years. These for-profit organizations have been dominating local fields and communities, making baseball activities almost impossible to afford for many families. The situation is dire; many non-profit programs have already been pushed out of business.

These organizations not only monopolize our community fields but also perpetuate an economic divide that has no place in youth baseball. This situation compromises the inclusiveness of what should be a community-based activity, discouraging kids from playing baseball, as families cannot afford the expensive registration fees.

Baseball is a crucial part of our communities, impacting the lives of countless children and adults alike. The alarming ascendency of for-profit baseball organizations has created a deeply concerning trend, threatening the foundations of recreational baseball programs in our communities and beyond.

We urgently need to prevent these business-driven organizations from taking over our community fields. By doing so we can make sure baseball remains accessible and affordable for all families, protecting the importance of local, non-profit programs in fostering youth interest in the game.

Let's take a stand for our game and for our community. Sign this petition to urge local authorities to prevent for-profit baseball organizations from taking over our community fields. Protect local non-profit baseball programs and keep baseball affordable and accessible for all.
