Public Notice of Draft Renewal Permit
The Division of Energy, Mineral, and Land Resources (DEMLR) invites public comment on, or objections to, draft permits to be revised and re-issued. Persons wishing to comment on or object to the draft permit may submit comments to the contact person listed below during the public comment period. Current draft permits are listed below by permit type.

I had a long conversation with SELC (Southern Environmental Law Center) today. Kasey was very helpful. She appreciates all the emails that have been sent. She suggested we sign up (link above) to be notified when the State receives a permit for the Storm water ponds.
When that happens, we will have an opportunity to email our concerns directly to the State. Our concerns may slow this down.
Please make sure to ATTEND the next meeting, Monday, Oct. 6, 6:00 PM, Statesville City Council. Come to the City Hall buliding! Do not let anyone direct you to the Statesville Civic Center. We need to be seen! Once the meeting starts, if you can not get into the City Hall building, then go to the Civic Center. I was made aware by a neighbor there were several people at the Civic Center; over 70 or so. I never knew that. The lobby appeared to be empty. The pictures for the paper only reflected just a few people hold signs.... This was done on purpose!
Also, if anyone has a contact for a Land Use Attorney, please reach out to your contact and ask them for thoughts on this as well. We need resources!
