As a resident of this beautiful rural neighborhood with my family, our only source of potable water comes from a shallow dug well, as is the case with many of our fellow neighbors. This vital lifeline is extremely susceptible to groundwater contamination and excessive usage. If a wedding venue, with a capacity of 300 guests, opens its doors in our vicinity, the water usage and extreme traffic load could lead to severe consequences for our water supply and community safety.

The venue's operation will unavoidably increase groundwater pollution, posing a threat to the numerous wells we all depend on. It's well-documented that high population activities can lead to contamination due to increased wastewater generation.

In addition to this, the lack of sidewalks and street lighting in our neighborhood makes us vulnerable to traffic mishaps and drunk driving incidents, risks which would significantly escalate with the influx of a high number of visitors for weddings.

We believe the safety of our water supply, the peace in our neighborhood, and the safety of our streets outweigh the benefits of having the venue here. With this petition, we wish to encourage the county to deny the application for the operation of this venue. Let's protect the tranquility, safety and the natural resources of our neighborhoods.
