The Issue

The residents of Struthers, Ohio, are staunchly opposed to the use of residential property located on Sixth Street for commercial purposes. This peaceful neighborhood, characterized by community spirit and residential charm, is being disrupted by the commercial activities of this lawn care company. The company recently acquired residential property, repurposing it as a parking lot for employee cars and a storage site for work vehicles.

Such actions undermine the essence of our residential areas, intended to be spaces of tranquility and family life. They contribute to increased traffic, noise pollution, and the degradation of our neighborhood's aesthetic and safety. By allowing businesses to encroach upon residential spaces, we are setting a dangerous precedent that prioritizes commercial gain over community wellbeing and quality of life.

Struthers has zoning laws designed to protect neighborhoods and ensure that residential spaces remain dedicated to their intended purpose. Commercial activities not only violate these laws but also diminish property values and could lead to even more businesses following suit. We urge the responsible authorities to enforce zoning regulations and prevent any commercial exploitation of residential properties.

We propose that all residential areas in Struthers be strictly monitored to ensure compliance with zoning laws, and any businesses operating in such areas be promptly fined and required to cease operations. Moreover, collaborative community engagement with local authorities should be fostered to oversee this matter effectively.

We ask for your support in preserving the integrity of our residential areas. Your signature can help keep Struthers a peaceful and safe community for families. Please, sign this petition to stand against the misuse of residential properties for commercial activities.
