Thanks to the Austin American Statesman, the Houston Chronicle, the El Paso Times, MSNBC and so many other media outlets for their help in getting out this story and thanks to everyone for all the new signatures over the past 24 hours.   We need everyone to keep up the good work in spreading the news about this threat to Big Bend National Park.   I left my wonderful job at the park years ago to help gain support for the park when I saw it threatened by outside forces.  The threats to our parks today are greater than ever.  We all need to be involved.  Write letters to your local paper, call talk radio, post stories on YouTube and social media.  Let's reach 1000 signatures and send a powerful message to the Department of Interior.
