Prevent Annexation in Olive Branch, MS

The Issue

As residents of the Center Hill Road community, we are concerned about the proposed annexation of properties south of 5416 Center Hill Rd and east of Center Hill Rd into the city limits of Olive Branch, MS. This issue hits close to home, as these properties, much like ours, lack direct access to city water and rely entirely on septic systems for sewage.

The majority of the homes in question do not have road frontage on Center Hill Road, which complicates limited access to city services, making annexation seem like an impractical and costly solution for both residents and the city. It is crucial to consider the impracticality of providing urban services to an area not designed or structured to accommodate them.

Moreover, the increased property taxes that annexation would bring are unlikely to be effectuated by any enhancements to our daily lives. Instead, residents might face unnecessary costs and disruptions with little to no benefit.

Meeting date/time: May 29 @6:30 p.m. Hernando, MS  38632

Join me in protecting our community's independence and preventing unnecessary changes to our lives. Let us urge the local government to reconsider this decision and maintain our area's current status. Sign this petition to oppose the annexation of our homes into the city limits.
