Prevent a Cell Tower in our Scenic Corridor

The Issue

The tower is proposed on Route 22 near Catalano Rd. Public Hearing is Wednesday July 9th in Ancram Town Hall: Town planners decide imminently—sign now or it’s permanent.

  • Impacts everyone here: Residents, farmers, hikers and visitors all lose our unspoiled Scenic Corridor views  (and even property values).
  • Breaks town rules: A 150′ tower is significantly higher than Ancram’s legal height limit.
  • Ruins the scenery: The metal structure would dominate the scenic corridor forever and will be seen from the Rail Trail.
  • Need not demonstrated: The company offers no clear evidence that a tower is even required.
  • Disturbs wildlife: Construction and operation disrupt local plants and animals.

Please also send an email to the town clerk to express your concerns: Smacarthur@ancramny.org
