The landscape around Eastway and the Fulwood area of Preston has changed dramatically over the last 5 years due to new housing estates, industrial estates and a new retail park.

An example: what should take a 6 minute journey takes 30 minutes to 1.5 hrs. This is having a detrimental effect on both people's livelihoods and businesses.

The road network is unable to handle the increasing traffic. 

A connecting road between James Tower Way and Eastway will not alleviate traffic but will increase traffic in the Eastway area.  A new Lidl supermarket and the extension of Fulwood Central retail park is due to open in 2020 and will add to the current problems.
