If you book a holiday/vacation with Thomas Cook that includes the Faroe Islands you are supporting the economy of people who enjoy killing Pilot whales and Dolphins. Cetaceans live in family groups called pods. Like you, they have emotions and will always protect each other especially their young. When a pod is seen near the Islands the small motor boats leave the harbour to surround the pod. They then drive the Pilot whales towards the island. The whales are terrified, not knowing what is happening. When they get to the beach men step into the sea with the whales and one by one butcher them. Mothers and fathers in front of young and young in front of parents. Pregnant whales are killed and any unborn young cut out of them. The sea turns red with blood AND ALL THIS IS DONE WHILE FAMILIES, INCLUDING CHILDREN, STAND ON THE BEACH WATCHING !!
