Ban the Selling Ivory Products & Save the Elephants!

Ban the Selling Ivory Products & Save the Elephants!
The Issue
Hello Everyone, I need your help!
According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature, between the years 2006 and 2013 the population of African Elephants has dropped from 550,500 to 470,000. These results are due to illegal African Elephant poaching for the trade of Ivory. Experts suggests that within 10 or 20 years, the African Elephant can become extinct. Unless the trading and selling of Ivory is permanently banned, poachers will continue to kill African Elephants and their numbers will continue to plummet.
Everyday, 96 Elephants are killed in Africa and the number in the Zakouma National Park in Chad has dropped from 4,300 in 2002 to 450 this year!
The killing of African Elephants for Ivory has become more appealing to poachers due to the dramatic increase of the wholesale price of Elephant tusks, which has tripled since 2010. In Beijing the retail price for Ivory products has increased a staggering 13.5 times and in Shanghai it has risen 8 times between the years 2002 and 2014. According to experts, the killing of African Elephants exceeds their birth rate, making it even more difficult for the population to survive.
If these statistics continue, we will see the extinction of this magnificent animal in our lifetime. The largest land animal on the planet needs our help and needs to be saved before its too late. We have to do anything in our power to help put a permanent stop to the Ivory Trade! Join me in this effort today!
