Shark finning is not only cruel and barbaric, its outdated. Millions of sharks each year are caught, finned ALIVE and thrown back into the sea. Where they are left to drown at the bottom of the ocean. All because someone wants to have a bowl of shark fin soup. 

Shark fins are high in dangerous amounts of mercury, cadmium, arsenic and other poisonous metals. This alone means that it is in no way good for human consumption. Not only are the sharks being inhumanly slaughtered but you are destroying peoples health by allowing this. 

Sharks are needed in our oceans. They are a life line in our sea's and as such need to be protected along with many other species of marine life. You could lead the way in making this happen, Set an example not only in Asia but all over the world. I ask you to please place a ban on shark finning. Help save our sharks and by doing this help us save our oceans. I thank you for your time.
