Hello! I have waited several months for Rebecca to finally get to Indonesia and I am so sorry to bring you more bad news. My heart broke into a millions pieces all over again, for the animals. I have never done anything to Cee4life or their founder/director Ms Sybelle Foxcroft, except starting this petition to bring about the plight of the sun bears and animals in Bandung zoo. Nor have I ever tried to derail her "efforts" to help Bandung zoo animals. I only wish more people would help but there is no reason why we must be joined at the hip to help them. Why can't she work independently? Why does she want to derail my efforts? She admitted that she works with the zoo and they continue to demand for money saying that since the sun bears in the video used on Rebecca's goFund campaign belongs to the zoo, the money belongs to the zoo and Rebecca should hand it over. IF THIS RIDICULOUS REASONING HOLDS TRUE, THEN EVERY SINGLE ANIMAL ADVOCACY GROUP WHO USED PICTURES OR VIDEOS OF ABUSED AND SUFFERING ANIMALS TO FUND RAISE SO THAT THEY CAN HELP THESE ANIMALS, THE MONEY THEREFORE BELONGS TO THE ABUSERS. Whose pictures and videos are animal advocacy groups suppose to use and how else can they highlight the plight of suffering animals? Rainbows and unicorns? This is not over, we will continue to fight. With great intentions and your support, I intended to evaluate the latest situation of the Sun Bears in Bandung zoo and gain a better understanding of the challenges facing the animals in Indonesia. I had hoped to leverage our Animal House connections to make Indonesia a better place for all animals in captivity and ultimately, the people of Indonesia. As you can imagine, I proceeded with caution but the selfishness of one individual has thwarted my plans. Sybelle Foxcrot of Cee4Life - https://www.cee4life.org (a little-known rescue in the international animal welfare community) has repeatedly demanded the funds we raised. We value partnership and have worked with over 10 local and international rescues in this trip (who all warned of scammers posing as rescues), unfortunately Cee4Life became vicious and has threatened my safety by launching unsubstantiated accusations of fraud. The reality is simple. Sybelle Foxcrost is unheard of in the animal welfare community. Her organization Cee4life continually posts videos of how the animals of Bandung zoo are thriving, which we know is simply untrue. Not one local, not one international animal welfare organization or any of the groups we have been working with believe that. And I trust neither do you. I am abruptly cutting my trip short and have already left the country as I have been cut out of visiting all zoos and Sybelle has launched a vicious attack even utilizing the local media. For my safety, I cannot relay what our next move is, but we have identified assets on the ground that have been working diligently to change the world for the animals of Indonesia. We were able to connect with these groups and will lend them our time and resources to make real changes and legitimate progress for the animals in Indonesia.
