Hello, I got a message/update from Scorpion this morning. They continue to monitor Bandung Zoo under cover. https://www.animalsasia.org/us/media/news/news-archive/international-spotlight-means-hope-for-indonesias-bandung-zoo-bears.html The Ministry of Forestry has yet to fulfill their promise to invite and meet with Scorpion after they declared that the sun bears are in good health following their visit on Jan 19th 2017. When this meeting happens, Scorpion will find out if bears are properly examined and discuss results with a bear expert. If the results are suspicious, they will ask permission to examine the bears. I have also asked about unshackling the poor elephants. They are also monitoring Surabaya zoo. Please continue to share this petition. The innocent animals cannot afford their plight to fade away. Please contact the Indonesia embassy and let them know that you will boycott Indonesia as your vacation destination until they do the right thing.
