Monday. We need you contacting Chiefs of Staff of your Senators/House Rep Today.

Good Morning-

Will you please send that email to the Chiefs of Staff of your Senators and House Reps?  Will you do it today?  This is extremely important at this time.  If we are going to see any sort of student loan related "October Surprise" from the Republicans before the midterms, this is our last chance to make that happen. 

I estimate that around 500 people have done this, which is a little more than one per House Rep. This is not enough.  We need you to take this action.

A lot is riding on this.  Whether or not we get something before the mid-terms is, of course, important.  But just sending these messages carries its own weight.  Getting into the heads of the key staff of our legislators is absolutely critical to our long term cause, whatever happens in the next months. 

This is truly your battle and not anyone is going to fight it for you.  You have no idea how important you are, and how important you can be. 

Some good news:  we finally completed our Gofundme, thanks to about 1,100 donors over the past 13 months.   I have to say, however, that this fundraiser was originally intended to take only 1 month, so that we could focus only on the fight for 10 months.  It is a gut punch to think about how much more we could have accomplished over the past year+ had we not had to constantly worry about fundraising. 

I would like to sincerely request that you consider making a monthly, recurring commitment to keep our group in operation.  If we could get even 150 people to commit to donating $20/month, we would be free of this massively unproductive use of our time and energy.  Will you please consider it?

There is a lot going on currently, but I will leave it at that for now.  

This is the time to fight, folks.
