On December 13, 2019, Pat Cooney was released to home confinement and into the embracing arms of her family. In January 2020, Pat finally received her deserving grant of compassionate release. Both of these actions were made possible by the passage of the First Step Act. Pat's family support was unwavering through the many years of her incarceration. Significant recognition is given to her daughter, Jacqi, and her brother George and his wife. Through the years they were always there for Pat, and in her corner! We give great thanks for the CJR legal changes in this country that correctly provided that Pat Cooney should be released to Freedom and her renewed life!
