Two of the women featured in this petition - Josephine Ledezma and Rita Becerra - are featured in this article about the lack of any Latina clemency recipients by President Obama, to date. We hope you will sign and share this petition so we can educate others about the lack of any Latina women being given relief. Minorities were adversely impacted by the war on drugs and while we support clemency for every race, we hope the number of Latina and Latinos will increase in the near future. Women are also a minority group with disturbingly low numbers in the last two clemency batches signed by President Obama.
