Kevin Shed is a father, brother, and grandfather who served his country with honor while in the Marines in prior years. He was sentenced to a 40+ year term for alleged conspiracy involving a non-violent drug offense. 11 non-violent drug offenders, from the Texas area, have been released although more extreme cases yet Kevin remains in a federal facility where he is being verbally and physically abused. He lost his mother while incarcerated and his father is suffering from multiple ailments. 

The First Step Act has shed light on the unfair and unjust sentencing guidelines that were used in the case involving Kevin Shed. He has now served 17 years of his sentence and we are fighting for his release under the newly enacted guidelines. 
 
Kevin deserves to be treated like a human being whether incarcerated or allowed to return to society and be a productive citizen. Please help us bring him home to his family, friends, and community.
