The University of New Haven has issued a public statement and apology to Sheriff Clarke. Without the support of all of you this may not have happened, thank you for your signatures and comments, we did it! This was a learning experience for everyone involved including campus officials. Although I personally do not agree with the decision to rescind the invitation to Sheriff Clarke, and with the initial way the University handled this situation, I am satisfied that the University issued an apology to Sheriff Clarke and the campus community.
