INTRODUCTION

All living things have a right to live on this Earth but, we, very often become, totally, insensitive to their pain, only because animals can’t speak the language of humans, they don’t have a voice. A famous quote which goes as: "One of the most dangerous things that can happen to a child is to kill or torture an animal and get away with it."  Every day in countries around the world, animals are fighting for their lives. They are enslaved, beaten, and kept in chains to make them perform for humans' "entertainment"; they are mutilated and confined to tiny cages so that we can kill them and eat them; they are burned, blinded, poisoned, and cut up alive in the name of "science" so that people can parade around in their coats; and worse. Animal cruelty is behavior that is harmful to animals, from unintentional neglect to intentional killing. The infliction of physical pain, suffering or death upon an animal is animal cruelty. The use of animal for the purpose beyond the animal limit is an animal abuse. Most people who abuse animals don't do it on purpose. They hurt animals because they don't think about or realize what they are doing. These people don't know that what they are doing is cruel. To overcome this, there are programs that we should educate people that animals feel pain too and that it can be dangerous to abuse an animal because that said animal could become violent and hurt and this is something which is illegal to a certain extent.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

 Animal testing and hunting are wrong and should be illegal. Taking away its basic right to life would be unintellectual of people to test to in just for science. An animal’s life is worth saving and protecting. Animals should not be tortured or killed in these harsh circumstances just because we want to experience the “thrill” of abusing them. Animals have rights just like every human does on Earth. Even though they cannot state these rights and exercise them as us humans do, that does not mean that these rights should be overlooked. Abusing animals is just feeding up to your own self.

When in times of abusing them, an animal is hardly ever killed easily without expense of pain. Animals tend to suffer not only from pain when injured, but even fear during the state of unhappiness.The animal fled for its life so it would not be finished off and killed by the antagonist attacking it. During bad conditions there are deaths among the weakest and oldest animals in the herd and populations may also decrease the number of pregnancies. This ensures that the heard remains stabilized and healthy. Abusing and hunting actually messes up this whole system and throws it off balance. Humans do not need to abuse them to survive so we believe it should be woken up to this.

These kind of treatment is extreme cruelty to animals who in no way deserve it. Most of the pain that animals experience is basically emotionally and physically much more, they also suffer from day to day stress from living in such horrible conditions. These animals are stuck in small cages, unable to move or express any natural behaviors they have.The pain they experience is almost too unbearable and causes many animals to die slowly and painfully. Most of the animals are often observed for side effects or implications such as vomiting, diarrhea, convulsions, respiratory distress, appetite or weight loss, rashes and allergic reactions, skin and eye irritation, salivation, paralysis, lethargy, bleeding, tumors, birth defects. In some circumstances, such experiments is over the animals are killed and their organs are usually examined for any harmful effects.

 

STATISTICS

The Philippine Animal Welfare Society has monitored about 100 cases of animal cruelty in the country this year, many of which are ignored due to the lack of stiff penalties against animal abuse. PAWS executive director Anna Cabrera told reporters at the House of Representatives Wednesday that her organization receives daily an average of 40 calls on cases of animal abuse.

Based on U.S., Animals are used for many purposes and the most common streams in which they are exploited are entertainment, research and fashion. Statistics show that, 32.4%, animals are neglected, 11.6% are shot dead, 11.5% die through choking or suffocation, 9.3% die of poisoning and fighting, 7% are beaten up or face theft, 5.6% are tortured, 2.4% are hunted or thrown away, 2.3% are stabbed, 2.2% are suffer from burning or drown, 1.9% burn due to caustic substance, 1.8% die from fighting, 1.4% unlawful trade.


PHILOSOPHICAL VIEW

The Philosophical view for our campaign would be Natural Rights. As what Locke said, "life, liberty, and property". As much as an individual would do, animals shall be equal to be live right in life.This should be put to this concept because such animal cruelty awareness shall be considered universal and also we must put an end to the time-honored disputes concerning the participation of animals in natural law for it is clear that, being destitute of intelligence and liberty, they cannot recognise that law; however, in some measure of our nature, in consequence of the sensibility, they partake of natural rights; so that mankind is subjected to a kind of obligation even toward the brutes. It appears, in fact, that if people are bound to do no injury to all creatures, this is less because they are rational than because they are sentimental beings: and this equality, being common both to men and animals.

 

CONSEQUENCES

Abusing animals is can be the first sign of a potential serial killer. Animal abuse has a strong connection to domestic violence. Victim’s dogs and cats are often used by abusers as pawns to manipulate and control them. In an abusive home, a companion animal may serve as a lone confidant for an abused woman or child and, by abusing the animal, an abuser takes advantage of the victim’s concern for his or her animal. Abusers may threaten or abuse animals in front of children and partners to keep them from reporting abuse or leaving. The effect on children Children who witness such abuse are three times more likely to abuse animals and to play a role in an abusive relationship later in life. People who abuse animals will now face up to five years in prison under a tough new crackdown.

 

ENTERPRISING SOLUTIONS

  • Report the cruelty- if animals appears to be suffering, we must put to an act to call for a local animal help agency. So that we can measure up the things we need to vary. We should also complain pet owners for those who mistreated their pets by enforcing it also to the local government and file an investigatory process. Which may lead the person to abuse the law. The more often that abusive individuals are punished, the less likely others are to do the same thing.
  • Fighting cruelty- in terms of reporting or complaining. We must also learn to fight for what is right. The best way would be teaching people how their pets should be treated and what they should never do. Each of us can help by utilizing your own community to do so: as well as to our homes and in schools. Beyond this, people need to stand up for what they believe in when they witness animal cruelty and take a stand by reporting the behavior.

All living things on this earth has their own right to live and freedom not because they are animals or can not speak or tell their pain about being abuse because of humans,they don't have voice.All living things on this earth has their own right to love freely they don't deserve to die because people mutilated them and kill them, They are burned,blinded,poisoned and cut up alive. This animals deserves to live and choose their own path, we do not have the rights to kill this poor animals just because of fun and such. This animals deserve to live not to test them or hunting them they deserve the care that we also need not hurting them. Killing animals and testing them should be illegal,Why? because they are living things like people, and we want the same thing,justice.

In the never-ending challenge to survive and reproduce, living things must evolve in response to their physical environment, as well as to their fellow organisms. Under the right conditions, these pressures cause new species to arise and local biodiversity to increase.
