President Duterte to Approve August 31 HCW Ban Exemption and PNA to Support and Endorse

President Duterte to Approve August 31 HCW Ban Exemption and PNA to Support and Endorse

The Issue

We are begging H.E. President Rodrigo R. Duterte to atleast grant us the additional August 31 exemption for the Healthcare workers Deployment Ban.

We also urge Philippines Nurses Association (PNA), being the mother organization of the nurses of the Philippines, to support and endorse the August 31 exemption.

We understand that the IATF Resolution No. 23, S.2020 provided an exemption for the ban stating that all medical personnel with perfected and signed contracts on or before March 8, 2020 shall be allowed to leave.

However, many of us are still affected by the ban because of the different stages of application that each one of us is undergoing. For example, a lot of us already spent 1-2 years for the application process and spent most of our fortune for the reviews, Intensive Foreign Language Proficiency Exams, and Registration fees among others – not to mention that these exams have expirations. Some are now even living in debt.

Our families also need our help :(
