Remember during virtual senior breakfast when Grey's Anatomy star Kim Raver, Fences' star Russell Hornsby and La La Land's star Jessica Rothe "zoom bombed" the celebratory event? Well, what if we had Boston native, John Krasinski celebrate the anticipated senior commencement with us?  A couple of weeks ago, President Brown announced that the commencement speaker is Dr. Victor J. Dzau, president of the National Academy of Medicine. While Dr. Dzau is an excellent candidate and a great fit for the current world we live in, it’s a sad reminder of everything that has happened. This petition is to request John Krasinski to be an additional speaker so that we can hear from someone beyond COVID-19 at the most anticipated celebration for the class of 2020.  In mid-March, all students were required to go back home due to COVID-19. This left many seniors devastated, frustrated, and upset that senior year was taken away from them. Now, with the uncertainty of when graduation will be students and families will have to fly from all over the world as they pay for their own flights and hotels to attend this ceremony. As seniors are taking the extra step to pay to go to graduation, let's have “Some Additional Good News” to look forward to during graduation. John Krasinski has already featured two Boston University students in his virtual ceremony, but let’s bring him to Boston University, live, to celebrate the whole class of 2020!
