Houses of hundreds of people in Turkmenistan's Choganly village on the edge of the capital Ashgabat are being demolished in preparation for The V Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games to be held in 2017. Though the residents possess valid housing permits, the authorities say their homes are illegal and therefore no compensation or alternative housing is provided to them.
