Thank you for signing this petition and adding your voice to the growing number of Delawareans and Americans who feel it was wrong for Congress and the President to repeatedly delay funding for CHIP, which left 9 million children (including 8,300 Delaware kids) unsure whether their healthcare needs would be met. It appears that Washington will fund CHIP for the next six years as a part of a stopgap funding bill. While providing healthcare for children in need should have been addressed independently months ago and not used as a chess pawn in partisan negotiations, we are grateful that this manufactured crisis appears to be drawing to a close.
