Problem
There is to much light pollution and we are unable to experience our night sky and its beauty.

Solution
at least once a year towns and cities turn off all their street lights and the people turn off at least their porch lights. this will cut down on light pollution so that people are able to look at the stars. preferably in the months of June or July

Personal story
I started this petition because living in a town you don't get to see the night sky a whole lot like you can when you live in the country or when you go camping. For some people that's just not an option. I remember being a young kid and going camping and looking up at the night sky and seeing countless stars and looking at the constellations and thinking how beautiful it was. Now though I can't do that because I don't have the funds to go camping anytime I want and I know others with the same problem.
